Subject: I need some Help please

I have been using carrara now for about 2 months but I have just started to use the 2nd cd when I load a model into the scene from off the cd carrara only renders to a white back ground does any one know how to fix this.

I had the same problem. :-) What you need to do is click on the object picker in the left pull out (The double arrow) and choose Scene. then turn off the ambient light and the background color. That should fix it for you. there are other settings in there, too that are fun ti fiddle with. Hope this helps. Aeryk71
