Yes It does remove some needed noise that comes with textures but you can selectivly Anti-alias some objects leaving the others alone the following was borrowed from BSolutions Object specific Antialiasing Sometimes a texture get's blurred during antialiasing, so it would be nice to switch it off just for this object - right? TaaaDaaa - starting with Bryce 3.1 you can do that! I.e. this feature works great for leaf textures - the both spheres below were rendered together, but antialiasing was switched off for the left texture: It's also useful for the new volumetric textures that came with Bryce 4.0.1 (in the following two examples antialiasing has been switched off for the right half). The difference is subtile, but noticeable: Display the Object Attribute dialog (manual pg. 333) To switch Anitialiasing off, hold down Shift + Control as you click the check mark to close the attributes box. To switch it on again hold down Shift only while closing the Attribute dialog. Thanks to Bill Munns for reporting this Hawkfyr
