Subject: Need a Global Illumination question answered...

I'm not able to get the sign on top of the cabin to cast light. I was under the impression that all objects with a value in the glow channel would cast light using the GI render engine. (indirect lighting is active)

Anyway, if anyone could tell me how I can make the sign actually cast light, I would be grateful.

Hi Pixelicious, Actually, your neon sign does cast light a bit as it is, but not much so it's hard to notice . You'll have to stenghten that up : multiply your glow channel with a Scale function at 2000% or so and your sign should cast more light . Great pic, by the way :) . thanks kix, it's just the preset interior white gloss texture modified a bit. you know, like better bump map n' stuff. by the way, litst, the scale thing worked. thank you. i'm rendering it in multiple passes on my machine at home right now, so i'll post it when it's done. -pix
