Subject: Stupid Question:Uploading to artist page?

Desdemmonna ( ) posted Wed, 11 December 2002 at 10:08 AM · edited Fri, 13 December 2024 at 3:06 PM

Is this only allowed for certain people or what? :) If not, where the heck is the upload function on the artist page!

RawArt ( ) posted Wed, 11 December 2002 at 10:19 AM

You can upload the pictures into the appropriate gallery (ie. Poser Gallery") and then it will also show up on your artist page. Rawn

I should have been more clear in my question...I want to upload a small freebie zip to my artist page like I've seen some people do...is this allowed for all members and where the heck is the upload option on the artist page? sigh I need more coffee. -Des

Hi Desdemmonna, Go to the FreeStuff link at the top of this page, click on it and it will take you to the All Free Stuff Pages. There you will see a link "Upload". Click on this and follow the instructions. When you have successfully uploaded a freebie you will find that your Artist's page now has a "Featured Freestuff" page. Hope this helps... ;)

Hey Badmoon, I know how to upload freestuff :) I thought there was a way to upload a small file to the artist page itself since it says on the page manager about a bandwidth limit and I've seen other members upload things like misc. mat poses etc. to their pages...hmmm.

I think it's one of the perks of having a store in the Marketplace. I might be mistaken, however.

Once you upload an item to freestuff, it'll show up on your artist page. If you have more than three, there will be a link to "(Artist)'s Free Stuff."

Patricia ( ) posted Wed, 11 December 2002 at 11:27 AM

I've been wondering about this too.....If you just upload an item to Free Stuff, won't it have to be somewhere on another website? I'd like to be able to upload it to my Artist Page here, and have the Free Stuff link be to the Artist Page itself. In other words, my Artist Page would be hosting the item for download....I think that's what Desdemona is asking, too. It's a difficult question to phrase!

popped back on before heading to bed EXACTLY! Patricia hit it right on the nail :)

As far as a know, that used to be the case (you could upload free stuff directly to Renderosity), but they changed it, so now if you want to upload a free item to the Free Stuff area, you have to have it hosted somewhere else and you actually just give a link to it.

AFAIK only merchants can upload free stuff items to their artist pages.

here is what my Artist Page says about uploads: "File Uploads You have a maximum limit of 0 KB for your upload area. You have used 0 KB (0.0 %) of that space. You have a maximum monthly bandwidth allowance of 1024 MB. You have used 0.0 MB (0.0 %) of that allowance so far this month. Existing File Uploads: You have not uploaded any files." I guess its a MP perk because as you can see I have 0KB for my uploads...

creativechaos ( ) posted Wed, 11 December 2002 at 5:31 PM

I just uploaded my first item to the MP, I had the 0kb stuff until then...my page now says File Uploads You have a maximum limit of 25600 KB for your upload area. You have used 0 KB (0.0 %) of that space. You have a maximum monthly bandwidth allowance of 1024 MB. You have used 0.0 MB (0.0 %) of that allowance so far this month. Guess being a merchant DOES have pirks

It's not so much a perk as a tool. It's space for sharing files with your tester and for free addons for costumer of your products. If you use it with Free stuff, you will find you will use up your Bandwidth for the month in a few days. only Merchant get it.
