interesting, (personal point of view here)- the guard is a bit on the overbig side, a trifle too wide and perhaps too thick. (remember, total weight as well as balance is an issue), the blade seem to sit oddly into the hilt, and its shape (cross sectional) could lend to a bit too much flexability. The proportions are pleasing to the eye in general. The tip bugs me, (tanto type grinds on a trad style sword just don't work for me) and I might suggest rounding the bottom of the pommel (easier on the hands in use). good start!
Pass no temptation lightly by, for one never knows when it may pass again!
I'd suggest rounding up the tip. That is, the transition between the tip and the edges should go along a curve, not a triangle. And guard is too big, even for a zweihander. Likewise the hilt, but that one is not way too big for a two-handed sword, I think. Incarnadine, the sitting of the blade bothers you because it's too thin for the seat. Draculaz, could you taper the guard/handle crossing (thinner end towards the blade)? Nice texture on the blade. How did you do it? I was looking for something like that for my sword. Or it's because of the lighting?

Hi guys, thanks for the helpful comments, I will try to oblige. Most of the texturing on the sword is done by the lights, first of all. Second, in terms of the way it actually looks, it wasn't what I wanted to do. However it was GOOD. So I kept it :) But I will take into consideration your comments. Thanks again :)
draculaz, Your sword looks like it is well balanced, the handle may be slightly long. and the guard needs work. You might want to look at Mock's Sword in freestuff - I DL'd it for the John Carter Render and was really impressed with the look of it. I see a lot of swords like yours in free stuff. If you saw "The Three Musketeers" movie, (the one with Tim Currey as the Evil Cardinal Richalou(sp)) The musketeers sword in that movie is really impressive, or a Spanish Conquistador sword.(Don't see many of those.) - TJ

Give me all you got, I can take it! Criticism is welcome, all I have to say is that I did really intend to keep the sword with that texture. Makes it look all nice and rubbery :) drac
