Description

- Yosemite National Park - Another shot of Yosemite. I love this one because of the reflections and refractions. The foreground golds and greens are the lake bottom refracting upward through crystal clear water. The whites and dark greens on the backs of the waves are the mountain in the background. The blues on the tops of waves and farther off are the clear blue skies. The thing I'll remember most about my photography in Yosemite was this POV. With camera strap wrapped snuggly around my forearm I staggered down some rocks. I held one hand under the camera, leaning over as far as I dared, with frigid waves lapping over my hand. I shot a couple of quick shots and nearly slipped into the shallow but cold water, falling on my butt on a rock. I saved the camera. I felt like a kid again. There is nothing else like it.

I'm now convinced this is one of the most beautiful places on earth.. just seeing how clear the water is, the trees and the beauty of your other Yosemite images, I really wish I had visited when I lived closer. Beautiful photo. :)

You were there and atleast knew the satisfying release of your inner child, still you explain it so ordinarily for it being such a magestic place. When I was there, if I got just a drop on my bare toe I felt like I was given a gift, because it almost seems so pristine..so un-touched. Beautiful photography..and don't you just love those humbling falls on the bum? LOL
