BIOMy name is Jason Lee. Ive been doing cg since 2002. Lightwave is my main software. I love trying to create photo real renders. More recently I've been interested in an illustrative hyperreal look. Im currently working at Paradigm Marketing and Creative in Memphis doing arch viz. As always, impressive. Not usually into photo-real work but you are on my favourites for a good reason:-)

Just in time! I just got my copy of LightWave recovered from a crash, got the dongle recognized and am all good to go. All I needed was some inspiration. And then boom - an email in my hotmail: "otacon has uploaded a new image". I do have a question, though. How specifically are those lighting fixtures set up? Is that a translucent surface with a point light behind it? It reminds me of one of the Lightscape luminary fixtures, I think. Very nice image, indeed.

Awesome work...you had me fooled until the pillars on the left caught my eye...and if the image weren't so good i wouldn't bother to point this out...but the bricks on the front are only maybe half an inch thick if you look at the corner...where-as in real life they tend to use only full and half bricks...looks like you just need to slide the texture an inch or so in whatever axis that is...awesome work tho...the floor is amazing...the texture is perfect...reflections in both the floor and the sky light are fantastic...and the light fixtures are spectacular...great camera angle to keep the compostion interesting too...awesome awesome work...

If you look at this image long enough you start to hear echos of footsteps and children laughing playing hide and seek. Excellent image Otacon, as always gets my vote.

Thanks everyone. Im glad you guys like it. The lights are luminous polygons. I also have an area light in each of the ceiling openings, and monte carlo 2 bounce radiosity.
