Description

- Pritzker Pavillion, Chicago, Illinois - This was a bit of a light study I did. The subject is Pritzker Pavillion, a new Frank Gehry designed music pavillion in Chicago. A large portion of the design consists of stainless steel "sails". This image was shot in the daylight, taking a light reading off of the reflected sun to get the desired effect. The background behind the stainless steel scales are high-rise buildings. Anyone interested can see the pavillion lit up in blue in the lower center portion of my recent night shot of Chicago.

I just love your photography, and this is no exception. I like how you go from the serenity of Yosemite and lovely gardens to cityscapes and beautiful light studies like this. A wonderful shot! :)
