Description

Another Terragen 2 alpha image. I just can't help doing more sunset/sunrise pics - the atmosphere model is lovely. :D I promise the next one will be something different though. Anyway, 3 cloud layers here - 1 below the camera, to above. All 3 are volumetric. Minor post processing - crop and slight color adjustment. Enjoy!

Terragen 2 is not yet available. It is in a closed alpha testing process and some of the testers, including myself, have been allowed to post some of our best test images. :) A wider beta process should begin near the end of this year, with a release in 2006.

Prutzworks, TG2 images do not need downsampling anymore. So the resolution you see it at is what it was rendered at. Render times cannot be disclosed at this time, just like Mojo, Vue, and other tests. We are lucky to be able to show you as much as we do - many other tests do not allow it!

Fantastic work! your precious info about TGD resolution are very interesting! did you mean that with tgd resizing images, didn't give any advantages? regards Max

Yes, as I said in PM, TGD is able to render as much detail as you need at the render size you select. No need for downsampling to achieve higher detail.
