Description


This butterfly is, although very common in the Netherlands, relatively unknown. I think this is because of the size of the butty.. not more than a few centimeters and the color... a beautiful but not very strong blue. Minolta dimage 7i

Excellent capture!!! Looks like some kind of moth...eeeew...HATE MOTHS!!! Find them soooo disgusting, LOL. But buttys i like though, but i never seem to be fast enough to capture one myself. Im just glad people like you can #:O) Have a great weekend!!!

A very attractive close up, it is wonderful that even the colours of such small things are better appreciated when enlarged. A feast instead of a fleeting taste. The blue really is strangely attractive, I wonder if this butterfly was the inspiration to Josiah Wedgewood for his famous blue pottery of the same shade and texture? george clarke
