Description

Earlier today I left a comment under a poser render with words to the effect of, "what, only 1 cup on the belt?" and, "mercenaries hold their 'earnings' in a pouch not a bank." This is the visual version of those ideas. I used a convenient, nearby model -- if someone says the other render had a better model, I won't argue. You could see that poser image, ":: - See No Evil - ::" by following this link http://www.renderosity.com/viewed.ez?galleryid=1002769&Start=1&Artist=As+Shanim&ByArtist=Yes Some nit picking explanations ... (1) the belt is a 'ring belt' -- commonly used in the SCA; (2) the 'Green Man' mug is from Fellowship Foundries ca. 1993; (3) both the mug and the wine cup are attached by a 'cup frog' -- a strip of leather with a rivet to make a loop on the belt, and a 'quick release feature' (LOL) a small slit that slips over a 'Sam Brown' button; (4) the pouch is a double drawstring that can be tied to the belt; (5) the 2 smaller knives are used (mostly) just for carving at a feast. Shooting conditions: afternoon daylight, no direct sunlight; tripod; Nikon 4300; automatic, self timer. The postwork was done in Photoshop 7: limited to crop, resize, form composite image, optimize for web. Thank you very much for viewing. I appreciate each and every comment that you offer -~- progress depends on criticism and advice as well as praise.

Very interesting shot! I'm a little afraid of the pants, lol, but that's just me. But, as a former anthropology major (still one at heart) I love learning about different, or past, cultures and practices. Thanks for sharing!

What no hat) Much more a renaissance faire man than a renaissance man. Yipes tight tights. Picture has a good feeling of depth.

This shows how interesting an older man can be, beauty is not only youth :-) But just one question: Does he attack? ;-)

Thanks for your comments. As to your question, I prefer to offer explanations and explorations instead of attacks.

Oh, and I also wished to note that the compression on this image seems to be very noticable. You might wish to try out a less harsh web optimization setting, unless you are dealing with specific constraints for how big the file can be.

I love it! All bedecked in the fineries of life.. the best being thy cup.. hehe.. One thing concerns me though, on the quick release method for thy cup, what if the wrong cup was released? s
