Everywhere people with camera's find their way in this world to make their shots. I like the art of taking realistic pictures, because it provides a way to show how I experience this world. It is a way for other people to look through my eyes.Nature ... exists primarily for her face, her look, her appeals to the heart and the imaginationGeorge MacDonaldJan-Carel Vierbergen
Picture courtesy of Ruut WegmanBIOIt is all in the family: love for hiking in the nature. Since my childhood I'm used to walk with father, brothers, cousins, etc., and take pictures (Minolta X-700 with 28-70 mm and 100-300 mm zoom) of what I see. I grew up in Ede (The Netherlands), studied Electrical Engineering in Eindhoven and I am working now as Coordinator e-learning at the Christelijke Hogeschool Ede (http://www.che.nl) where I implement digital assessments for students and assist students in DTP and creating websites.
Since I know little about photographing as well as computer science it was not difficult to find ways for putting images on the web. The only thing to look for now is to find ways for showing the slides in a convenient way. I tried already something at http://www.che.nl/users/jcv (Dutch only, click at Dia's van de natuur in Nederland en de Alpen), but this platform provides good means to share my pictures with others.
I hope you enjoy this!

Hey... welcome in France ;-)))) The military architecture is always imposing, and more (I think) when it's near the ocean. I've never been in the north of France, but I know that there is there impressives landscapes and seascapes, and a wild Nature too. Thank you for the informations about this place. Have a good day.

Thats quite cool... Could be interesting to take a shot at night...? Dont know if theres is any illumination... if not, perhaps at full moon... Yes, I think this could be very moody!! Nevertheless a really good shot! Very well done! :-))

Wow, what a perfect POV. Really like that it has so much of that "beach" leading up to it. Alot of people might have cropped some of it off, but im sure glad you didnt. Great job!!!!! Have a wonderful day #:O)

Looks like the old fort has held up pretty well! An interesting contrast to the modern buildings in the background :)

Beautiful scenic shot.

Must be some shell fish out there. Cockles probably? Then the cleanliness of the waters is paramount. Mushrooms maybe in the castle. We are a long way from boiled dinner.

An impressive capture. Seems like the fort is well placed for defense in regards to the tides. Excellent Historical image. Aloha

An impressive structure, but it appears smaller than I would have thought. The garrison couldn't have numbered too many. Great POV on the photo, and thanks for sharing this. Things like this I would never get to see otherwise.
