"Red Sun" Sunflower
Taken with Canon Powershot SD300.
I took this shot of the Red Sun Sunflowers that I have growing in my yard. This is the first large flower that's popped up.
Just getting into photography, suggestions welcome!

Great Flower, never seen one of these before. Only suggestion: Centre the shot the top of the flowers petals is cut off when the bottom isn't...

It's a beautiful flower - nice capture with very nice light. When it comes to suggestions: it pays to be wery concious about the background when you photograph flowers, and I would have gone to great lengths to avoid showing the fence in the background of this shot. (Either by changing your pov - or by limiting the depth of field to render the background a lot more blurry). Welcome to the photo gallery!
