Description

In the top image, I started my hike from the far left trying upwards which was nearly impossible. After a couple of scary moments, I decided to go sideward and across this area you see. Stay above the bush vegetation in case you fall (something to grab). Walk in the brown grassy areas... its a little more firm. In the bottom image, this is what most of the hill looks like. Loose, light cinder rocks covering the mountain. Mother earth is about 5 to 12 inches below these loose rocks. For every step that I took, I had to dig in and find earth or slide down with the loose rocks. On this climb, the walking stick became very important. Aloha and thank you for viewing.

You actually plan your route on where you can find something to grab if you fall??? Not a very optimistic way to start climbing, lol. Would make for a nice actionshot though...you going DOWNHILL instead, LOL. Sweet captures my friend, keep em coming #:O)

sounds like a comfortable ascend! LOL must have been a very long and neverending ascend! you had the dangerous rolling stones and I the waterholes and I also used the heather and the moss for each step! I will help you and push a little! ;o)))))

Oh wow, that is HARD! Have experienced that, it's very fatiguing! Wise thing to stay above the shrubs, never thought about that but it gives you a bit more grip! Fantastic shots, Errol, stunning work!

It looks like this is where all my barbeque rocks come from.Funny how the liitle flowers can grow in the midst of it all.

Wow, the red hill realized, but you plan on falling? I'm not sure about that. I'm assuming that this climb and a plan to fall has a purpose? Wonderful image, but a bit to strenuous for me!
