Description

What would you say If I said that I Love You? Would you turn and walk away, Say that it can't be true? What would you do If I said that I really care? Would you say that you care too, Or would you say that I'm not being fair? What would you feel If you felt my touch? Would you feel warmth? You should...I love you so much! How would you act If I said you're wanted by me? Would you agree, accepting myself and the fact? Or say you want to be free? What would you say, If I said I need you? Would you turn your head? Or say "I need you too?" What would you see If you looked into my eyes? Would you see that I want your love for me, With honesty, without any lies? What would you hear If I asked for you to be there? Would you hear a little fear? I'm insecure, I need your love to be fair. What would you say If I said I wanted you for myself? Would you say you feel the same way, Or that you want to be with someone else? I love you, I honestly do. I'm sure that you care. You're one of the precious few, And for you, I'll always be there. *********************************** Just me, trying something new....so out of my element here! Can't even think of a title--Gin

Very good bit of writing, even if you do feel out of your element in writing poetry! There are all sorts of titles you could use, but what was obvious to me was "What would you say?". Another could be "If"... Maybe that's more subtle? lol!

Wonderful piece! (I'm reminded of the hit song "IF" by David Gates and ''BREAD'' in years past).

Ginny, I don't think you are out of your element here, I think you have found it! This poem is a beautiful, evocative, moving expression of the need for love and acceptence that we all want and need! I want to tell you that I think you are one brave lady! It is hard to bare your innermost feelings and emotions, even to comparative strangers! That you are willing to open your heart to us and let us see the real you speaks of just how much courage you have! You are one amazing woman! Leanndra

This must be... the sweetest thing I've seen from you! It also seems to show your inner strength is coming out; you're strong enough to love, strong enough to admit it, strong enough to ask for what you need... I hope the one (?) you wrote it for appreciates you. -- Sorry I've been away so long; I hope that I'll be around more often, now that Othila isn't around. (Oh, BTW, my ex-wife got married a couple of weeks ago, so SHE's not around much, either! :)
