Description
Based on the comments to the original version and some discussion in the Poser forum, I've made some changes to the eye and teeth shaders. I've also experimented with the position of the main light and applied face_off's fake sss to one of the back lights, which together changed the atmosphere considerably. The dark background did no longer fit and I picked a lighter one. I hope these changes together justify posting this new version.
Thanks to everyone who made comments and suggestions on my previous attempts, especially to face_off, who was, as usual, always spot on.

Hi Olaf, some nice improvements in this one. The teeth in particular look considerably better. I like the way the eyewhites are toned down too. Raising the main light has made a number of subtle but pleasing changes. I think the image looks a lot better for having fewer highlights on the right hand side her face. Also, the shadows at the corners of the mouth and the position of the nose shadow are both better as a result. You're right about the background too, this one is much more suitable for this image. I certainly feel you are justified in posting this image... I've learned a lot from it and can't wait to see how you are going to make further improvements ;) Excellent work !

Interesting to compare this version against the original. Changing the lighting made a huge difference - with this version having more above-light and looking much more natural. Also interesting that there are some glitches where her hair is going through her left shoulder - and maybe that is a shadowing problem. Anyway - outstanding render. Top stuff.

Oh Yeah... This is the ticket. I liked version 1 a lot, but I like this one even better. The teeth and the gum line look so much better and the pose has a real sense of "action" to it. Nice Job.

This is a lot better than the previous version, The skin and especial the teeth and inner mouth is spot on. The hair is poking in her left shoulder and on the top right side of her head it is to thin i think... Anyway top work! ~Uwe
