Description

It was at 3am on November 13th 1953 when the rains started. It wasn't long before the river burst it's banks and the water rose at such a rate that it caught the guards by surprise. Of the 53 inmates at the hospital, 13 were killed that night. Drowned in their cells. The bodies of 5 others were never found. Even though the cell doors had remained locked. One survivor said nothing other than "it came under the water and took them", but he was clinically insane. Wasn't he? This is a reworking of an older model. Just looking for ideas and inspriation. Thanks for viewing.

No filters were harmed in making this image. OK, not quite true. I killed a few to get the effect. NIK Efex, gotta love them. Kinda like hamburger helper. Just adds a little extra.

I agree with most all above me...but I really like the authors subject matter, the story, curious, isn't it? Good job all-around gets my vote...good for you, person of eye and soul. ernzan

Super job on the realism factor here. The water reflections on the walls and ceiling are especially convincing. The grainy effect is quite brilliant. The lighting is very natural. The water texture is appropriate for the conditions of this scene. I can't imagine where you got the idea for this image, but it's a cool idea. V

great stuff- the water reflection is very high, if you do that, you can get down the hall lights level, for taking a realistic darken hall, i think. but its only opinion, i cant do now this type of works..you have a amazing talent

Well, I agree with the above. One minor flaw is in my humble opinion, that the lights' reflections on the water are very calm compared to the strong caustics on the walls (unless there is something lurking under the water with a light source in another direction than the viewer's) :-)
