Description

This is my costume black Volvo S60, placed in a fully cgi scene. This my experimenting with grass creation useing VRay to render with Max5. The trick is that I did not use any other 3rd party hair/grass plugin (like ShagFur wich would be perfect for the task) Bit of post in PS (glow,DoF) I don't like the the image itself as a whole, it somehow hurts my eyes, any suggestions?

Pretty nice render...maybe change the background to dawn or sunset to get rid of the flat white background. nice job overall.

The cars reflections are too crisp with the rims/tires and the road.

Interesting. Grass is a nice go with cars. I do wonder how artists innovate with things like a ground effects package which is from another mathematical and testing world. Just an aside. Like what kind of engine is under the hood or whether it has fourwheel disk brakes. The shape is very human. Perhaps that is all that is needed even in a rollover or frontal crash test.

hmm ... looks more like a nissan skyline than a volvo. But none the less, its an awesome test render. (show rooms make better test scenes... they're easy to model and look more elegant)

Looking around in your gallery, wow many cool renders I must say. This one is really good .. the glow adds a "commercial" feeling. Car and environment is very realistic.. Cool to see an artist striving to be better - even saying that he does not like such a near-perfect image as a whole. I like that.. opens room for positive critism. I like the environment as a whole. Things I would suggest here would be to add a driver (would really make it near photoreal I think), and also maybe composite the image with the car not placed dead center? Excellent work

Very very nice modelling and rendering work. Especially the car reflection part. I have been trying to get such reflection but to no avail. Excellent work :)
