Description
Hi
This is the first scene where I tried to modell outdoor enviroment. The shield is made just as a textureing practice. Its the very first thing that I Unwrapped and handpainted in Photopaint. Please, give commetns and crits, all help very welcome!
I went for a warcraft/cartoony style look, not for photoreal. I'll try to make a photoreal shield later too, to see the difference.
Made in Max5,Vray render, lotta postwork in Corell Photopaint. Clouds, rain, fog are post work.THis was a 2d practice too.
Thx for viewing!
Edit: it seems I'm constantly updating the this image :D so, look back often :D

Thanx Darkflame. Thats tring to look like dark water, maybe a bit too dark. The sky is hand painted postwork, as I said I'm still just practicing that :D Hmm, maybe I'll update this again. C&C still welcome! UPDATED

ahh..yes, the water looks much better now :) A few subtle changes can really improve the clarity of the image. Looking at it now the rocks and foreground look perfectly ok. Despite the background looking ok by itself..something looks odd when put with the rest of the image. Not sure what though :-/ Have you tried putting it flipped horizontaly? Maybe if the sun-beams went in the same direction as the rain the image would have more symtry. To be honest I am not sure it would improve it..just an idea :) Keep up the good work!
