Description

Here's something different to add in my gallery. The typical Daddy LongLeg. Can't bring myself to kill this dude, so I take his portrait instead. *LOL* Good thing no other family members were around to see me do this. I'd never hear the end of it. :) I figure anything and everything to carry the potential to become works of art -- so why not this little critter. I played with various filters and such .. and I actually like how this turned out. Of course I don't expect anyone else to like it ... but, I do. :) ........ so I had to add it to my collection here. I wish you all a happy and safe day ... thank you so much for stopping by. Shari

I like the presentation a lot!! Like the pure clean touch this guy gets this way... Missing a bit more sharpness in this capture - more focus on the body would have been great, I think! And spiders are quite cool... :-) At least the more gracile ones, like the daddy longlegs, yes...! Fascinating how they move...

Amazing to see these guys up close and personal. Just the focus that is worring me...

The original is extremely sharp, too. I'll have to play around w/this a little more I think. THANKS!

This is a brave step, a soft image of a grandaddy longlegs! That is "thinking out of the box" presentation. I really like this image.

Lol, to find art in all creatures is a very positive attitude, Shari. I say that since I REALLY don't care for spiders, but have been known to take pics of them, too. Very well presented!! :0)

If this is what you like , then go with it ...the art has to satisfy he artist...not the viewers. I tried to shoot one of these guys but he wouldn't hold still long enough and when I did get a shot the camera had difficulty focusing on him. I like your presentation and I would also like to see the sharp version. P.s. keep practicing your quackenese =O])

I like this image a lot. Not every photo has to be crystal clear and crisply focused to be a good photographic image. There are artistic abstracts, color experiments, manipulated interpretations and all manner of other effects which can be and should be used with abandon if so desired, lol. It is an art community after all, lol. If you do a negative image of this photo, you will be be quite impressed I think.
