Description

This is the Showboat Becky Thatcher. Docked on the Muskingham river at the confluence of the Muskingham and Ohio Rivers in Marietta Ohio. The Becky Thatcher is a real working sternwheeler but is now in dock and serving as a dinner theather. Durning the floods of last year she was unmoored to be safe and make sure she didn't get docked on land. After the floods we had a very bad dry river spell in which she was also unmoored in case she had to be floated into deeper water. As you can tell from the picture when it was taken the banks of the river had not grown back from the flooding yet. Now they have been reseeded and are looking very nice. That's wonderful!!! You are in Ohio? It's so good to see you lerking around again, I've missed you sorely. It didn't really work out with the other place, I've already spread myself too thin between home and here and my loyality lies here sigh @amn integerity!
