Description
This image was shot at 5 AM on Geary St. Downtown San Francisco. It's a simple entry way to one of the local hotels. I tried to shoot it late at night but there was to much foot traffic to get the angle I wanted. It required setting my camera on the sidewalk for the long exposure. It's seems like people just love the chance to kick your camera, if they get the chance, or they wonder what the hell you are doing and get in your way. Another problem I had with this shot was the reflection of car lights passing by reflecting off the hotel windows. My solution get up at 4 AM and get the shot. I still had the doorman come out and question me, but I think It was worth it.

on Geary St??? I vaguely remember walking there with my grandfather! :) I remember this one from the forum! loved it then and now!!! My only complaint...it's not big enough!!!!! :) This one belongs on the cover of a magazine. Better yet, frame it and hang it on the wall! Composition is superb, and the tones are just what i love!!! I'm glad you went thru all you did to get this shot!!!!! and glad you finally put it here where it belongs!!! :)
