Description

Alrighty then. I've created a deformable Mesh to be used as the event horizon. The textures are all set. All that has to be done is apply a ripples2 texture deformation and animate it. The inner ring is independent and ca be animated. OH yea did I mention It will be available in the Ligtwave backroom in a couple days. OH P.S. I worked all day and so when I got home I wuz too lazy to do up a full flesh scene with death gliders and all. I mean I could have brought the terrain over into LW and re mapped it there and all. But as this image is only a example of what can be accomplished with the Gate Mesh, I just did up the terrain in Terragen and rendered the gate in LW then did a quick and dirty composite in Photoshop. Anyway I emailed the stargate to OOOZZZEY at the Lightwave forum and when he gets the chance he will put in the LW forum backroom to be available for yl to use in your very own SG renders. I'm looking forward to seeing some.

You go to the software forums listing on the right of any rosity page. Select the Lightwave forum from the list and then right under the forum logo at the top of the page. You will see a link to the Lightwave backroom. Or click this link it should take you there. Rosity it taking forever to get the mesh on the site. It takes a month or so to get anything into free stuff.
