Description

"There are no more summers left, in this heart of mine; where once it knew sunshine's laughter, and the gentle touch of calming rain; sweet echoes call out to me, and now I am coming home." ------------------------ I received some terrible news today. I am striken with sadness, grief and a very real sense of both longing and loss. This image is dedicated to a very good friend who has by example alone inspired me to take up photography simply for the joy of capturing that tiny slice of life. He shared the sad news that he is terminally ill and will not have much longer with us. Thank you very much for taking the time to look.

So sad to hear of your loss, Moe. You strike me as a person with a zeal for life. Bits an pieces of your personality "peek" through your words sometimes so I suspect you have your proper share of emotions as well. I can understand, then, how a person who has had an effect on your life would be a very sad loss. You have my sympathy.

Very peacefull image.. Losses can be painfull and yet they make us aware of what a precious gift life is. When the pain fades , it will leave a warm and gentle glow , the love and respect for the ones we carry with us a lifetime , deep in the heart

sad to hear the news moe..... we as humans are in an unenviable position in the animal kingdom becasue we possess emotion... we all know its gotta come to us some day, but it doesn't make it any easier...... very peacuful image..... well composed, the stark contrast of the dying tree, with the light from the heavens suggests new beginings not endings
