I know I'll probably be flamed for this, but based off the image alone, since that's what we are actually looking at, the image does have some merit, it brings through a message, whether good or poor, it does make you think. Whether it makes you think that the artist is a poor one or a great one is not relevant. What is relevant, is the fact that the artist's intentions may have been to get people to think about what's going on. I'm a poor artist by anyone's imagination, and as far as politics go, I'm even worse, but I figure that the point of posting here is not for political lamb-basting, but to make us better artists, so let's turn our heads from this political mumbo-jumbo and concentrate on the image itself.

And it amazes me that you dont realize that the reason America goes to war is TO PROTECT THE LIVES AND FREEDOM OF ITS CITIZENS! I haven't even read all of the comments. I merely am getting mad at the fact that any time someone posts something that might actually be called art (unusual here at renderosity, I'm afraid) people give them an average rating of 4 and scold them to death. Art is a means for expressing an opinion. You shouldn't judge it by how much you agree, but by how interesting it is and how well it is expressed. The blunt approach is valid. One more thing: The few comments I have read showed the exact same attitude the US government has shown historicaly: Ignorance. It is perfectly obvious for just about anyone who doesn't live in your fucked up country that the bunch of you don't know shit about what is going on outside your borders. You make up your dictators and homicidal maniacs out of plain old bad governments and decide you're doing them a favor by killing them all. The attitude of the US is more or less the following (not just now, it has been the same throughout the last 100 years or so): They are killing thousands of people (Usually a rediculous exageration, or even a false statement). We are going to fix that by killing thousands of them. Why doesn't anyone seem to ask: Aren't we just doubling the number of victims?? This is my own apportation to the ideas, my view about the image can best be understood by reading the comment of Rorshach.

I, for one, am an American GI. I joined to serve and protect my country from all agressors, foriegn and DOMESTIC. Get the picture 3DGOD or whatever name it was u chose to send along with this atrocity of political garbage. Yet, I stand here today ready to fight the good fight, for ur freedom( if u actually are an american citizen). I serve, not because I have no brain, or lack of food, and I HATE MC D's. I fight because, if I dont, who will. If I dont fight when called, when will someone else. I fight because I love the freedom to say theses things about u and u about my great country and those who are, will, and have fought for it. Unlike some other countries where their freedoms are being stripped from them, and they like it(England loosing their ability to arm themselves). I wasnt going to say anything at first, I just shook my head and went on, but after changing the page, I was compelled to write this response to such ignorance.

You forgot to mention "to pollute the environment". There has only really ever been one war on the planet: Humans against all life. ...And the humans are winning. No other species is idiotic enough to even compare to what humans are doing to the earth and all other life forms including their own kind. From pesticides to nuclear waste, toxic chemicals to burning oil and human concentrated elements like mercury and plutonium to global warming. Blowing up the World trade center was toxic and harms the environment. War (any war) is just another tiny battle in the bigger movement that is causing high cancer rates in humans and other animals and the destruction of life. The cancer rate WILL rise from the use of DU (so called depleted uranium weapons) over seas and the cancer rate will rise for many life forms not just human. In the US the cancer rate (for ones life time) is 1 in 2 for men and 1 and 3 for women. HELLO! The cancer rate is the same for some kinds of sea turtles. Greed, ego etc are said to be the cause of war but consider deeply what the cause of those are. What ever you come up with say for the cause of greed, consider what the cause of that is. Take as many steps deeper as you can. The correct answer will have the power to cure the problem, the wrong answer is nothing more than a belief. Some have said "the US fights for freedom" yet US citizens are not free of cancer or free to stop nuclear testing from happening. They are not free to save the environment. They can not even dictate what their own country does or does not do. The people of Europe watch by satellite as the pollution crosses the Atlantic from the US and then pollutes Europe, is the US or Europe free to stop that? You can say yes but let's see some one ACTUALLY SUCCEED in doing it. The people from the US watched by satellite as nuclear fallout from French Nuclear testing in the south Pacific rained down upon Hawaii. Where is all this freedom? And does this freedom apply to anything "real" that IS ACTUALLY SAVING THE PLANET, if not then "freedom" is an illusion or propaganda and should be discarded for something that actually has the power to save the Earth. Until the planet is actually saved and the cancer rate returns to pre-industrial levels then we as humans are losers in the only war there has ever been, the war of humans against all life.

I don't know how u American's live with your self killing people around the world for miner reasons. I'll give u couple of exmpls: Japan was alredy about to declar it's surrender anyway, But USA had to bomb hiroshima and Nagasaki knowing that they woud win realy soon without droping the nukes. exmpL2: Cold War was started by USA and they made it sound something like "war on terror" exmpL3: Can't Blame USA for Vietnam war but still while russian's were sending Planes, AK-47 and Artillery to North Vietnamis but Russian's never send soldiers to war thousends kilomiters from home. Also in Vietnam American's thinked that they have the greatest army in the word and were slaughtered like in 1WW
