Sometimes you meet someone
That betters your whole life
That shows all the good the world can be
They hold a special place
No one can ever fill
They show you love and passion that is free
You smile just to watch
Their enjoyment of life
The little things that no one else can find
And when you hear him laugh
Or say your name so sweet
You see someone that is one of a kind
And even now that things
Have become something else
Your heart feels full because you hold him dear
You fiercely guard his heart
And wish him no more pain
And let it go while smiling through the tears
And now you hold your breath
And hope things are okay
He means too much to lose the friendship too
You trust in who he is
Admire all his strength
And know that promises will see you though

Even though we change

Well, maybe true love can't be possesed, maybe only enjoyed, and no lenght of time is ever enough to be near it, my opinion anyway. Ypur words contain a pretty universal truth, well said.
