------------- The Harpies - Myao Yhin, Baker's Dozen
Having been saved by Illandra, the mysterious Drow dragonmaster, and her lover the Kar'Thane Sorceress, Syadina, the Harpies entered the ancient tower and found a vast complex beneath it. They battled long against the undead hordes the Mord had summoned over the decades since its master's exile. It would be riches well earned, a battle well fought, a celebration well deserved. However, on their exit, the band found themselves surrounded by soldiers. Here, at the headwaters of the Al-Setti, they would have expected Symballans, a people none too thrilled with foreigners stealing their archeological treasures. It wouldn't matter if the Mord had amassed the treasure and brought it here, it was recovered from beneath Symballan soil.
But the soldiers were not wearing the robes and the turbans of Symballa, but the horse fanned helms and splint mail of the Kingdom of Atheae. Either they had encountered a border patrol, or the Harpies had found themselves in the middle of a war. From what Deurrine had been hearing from the church lately, the latter was more likely. If these Atheaen soldiers were across the border as part of an invading force, there would be no law to prevent them from killing the Harpies and taking the treasure for themselves. Danai tensed and prepared for the last fight of her life.
At that moment, a yellow white blur of motion ripped through the Atheaen lines. In no time at all, one of the most disciplined and vicious armies on the continent was scattered and the remainder of the fight suddenly became winnable. When the last sword stroke fell, the Harpies were beaten and battered, but it was the Atheaens who had been defeated. Thanks in no small part to the uncanny speed, strength and fighting prowess of their savior, an eastern warrior who they initially mistook for a Hebat. Myao Yhin, as they decided to call her, rather than her real name, Mao Tzu Yhin Ling, had traveled to Symballa as part of a trade contingent. During an assault on the Hebat village by the Atheaen army, her master and mentor, the Monk Lao Chan Ko of the Shining Path Monastery, was killed. She had sworn vengeance and had been following the Atheaen army for days now. But that blood now on her claws, she decided it was time to withdraw and reflect upon her actions. She would join Danai and her friends if they so desired it. Danai did not have to be convinced.
Myao Yhin was the last to be added to the ranks of The Harpies, making them thirteen in all,... a baker's dozen. She became the Monk of the Harpies.

Wonderful character, pose and expression. Her skin texture is very good. Nice outfit. I think she would have blended a bit more with the background if you had blurred it a bit to create a DOF. Mmmm, where's that sack of Friskies? 8-)
