Description

When you first move to the city, you notice all the bums, the drunks, and the homeless wandering the streets but after a few years they simply vanish. How many years does it take to see them again??

I followed a man down the Park Street station and watched as he disappeared into the darkness of the tunnel without notice. Nobody dared make eye contact in fear of having to address his plight. How many more live there? Well someone's going to have to deal with it now. Nearly four years after Sept. 11, last month's transit bombings in London has renewed concern about security on the ''T''. Now they are rousing tunnel dwellers and forcing them up and back into the streets. Where they go from there is anyones guess... I may join them. -yo
