Description

Try this with 2D clouds :) The ominous thunderhead approaches in the night. On this planet, their moon isn't that big or bright and they are near the center of the galaxy so you get spectacular views :) The sun turned into the moon from my previous image and I didn't use the same method on the clouds. This is my first try with starfields, not to mention my first nighttime attempt. I know the stars aren't great but I learned a lot. Michael

I must say that I prefer the day image. That being said, it does look like night. One thing I've found about night images with TG, as soon as they're really realistic, they don't look so good. I think TG needs more light to work well. Also, I would prefer it without the added postwork. I still love that cloud

I like this, your nightime is superb here on this one. Excellent POV and a tiny suggestion for this one perhaps ... Instead of so many star clusters, perhaps a few stars scattered. and if the cloud were lowered... it would set this off perfectly and give it the right touch of mystical... excellent idea ....

Totally agree with ppeterson, the stars are too bright and take away from the rest of the image.
