Hi all
This is near Mammoth Lakes Calif
I went on a hike a week ago to mammoth crest over 11,000 ft. This shot is from the edge of a cliff. A little bit of where I'm standing is visible at the bottom of the picture. Kinda scarry so I backed up a couple of feet.
I'll probably post a couple more shots. There was some endless views and nice hiking weather.

Hey Hidinthesierras thanks for the comment Take some garlic pills a couple hours before the hike to keep the sceeters off. Go early if you start at Lake George try to start before 9 am to avoid afternoon thunder storms and lightning. When I did this same hike 10 years ago I had to run off because I went late and lightning bolts where all over the place. I noticed that you mentioned bentchick on one of your pix, That's my wife. OH MY GOOOOOOOOOD!!!! What an incredible scenery you capture here...and captured it perfect i might add. The POV is really impressive, not sure i would have the guts to walk that close to the edge but im sure glad you did. Amazing landscape, love those shadows casted by the clouds and that oh sooooo blue water. "Gorgeous" doesnt even begin to describe this one. Congratulations on one helluva photo.
