Description
Snoqualmie Falls is a spectacular 270 foot cascade of white water rushing over the granite cliffs and smashing into the water below. It is also a hundred feet higher than Niagra Falls.
The word Snoqualmie is the English pronunciation of "sah-KOH-koh" a Salish word meaning " MOON " . The Local Native Americans ( Salish ) who roamed the valley were known as people of the moon. There elders say,
