Description

~Photoshop and Wacom tablet After reading the new Harry Potter book I was inspired to create an image of Albus Dumbledore:) So going back to my 2D roots I worked on this image on and off for about a week. Image Progress I will be spending more time working on 2D images, I have also ordered the stuff I need to start working on my pastel images again. I have really missed doing the pastel works.

I'm glad I'm not the only H.P. fan around here. ;) This is really beautiful work Gina. The colors are rich and vibrant and compliment each other very well. I'm particularly captured by his eyes and hands.

WOW! Beautiful likeness to Dumbledore (Michael Gambdon)! His eyes particularly capture my attention. Fawkes is gorgeous! I love the little shimmers in his feathers. Love this! :)

Gina you know I love it when you do stuff like that well you excel in all things you do but to be honest your 2d stuff is what really always blows me away you are so damn good!!! And now hearing you might work on some pastels :-)) well, what shall I say I CANT WAIT TO SEE THEM!!!

Outstanding. -Ultra-professional looking beyond belief. This should be in the next edition of Spectrum. (Annual collection of work by the world's best fantasy artists) This is the level of work I expect to see there. You've captured the essence of a good phoenix, and your Dumbledore looks like Michael Gambon and everything. I'm amazed you used Photoshop and Wacom tablet, for it is written "The finest graphic tablet in the world is still no substitute for a pencil. Best hair rendering in this history of anything. My highest congratulations.
