Description
~Photoshop and Wacom tablet
After reading the new Harry Potter book I was inspired to create an image of Albus Dumbledore:)
So going back to my 2D roots I worked on this image on and off for about a week.
Image Progress
I will be spending more time working on 2D images, I have also ordered the stuff I need to start working on my pastel images again. I have really missed doing the pastel works.

Yes, you must enter this in Spectrum! (I like the editors and they always have great judges). Besides, that way I can get this in a book since I always buy them;-) The hair is very impressive but it's the phoenix that is my favorite.

Honestly your 2D stuff is my favorite by you..I find it amazing how you get everything to blend so beautifully and it gives me the hope and inspiration to wanna try it too eventually...the coloring and the magic and mystery and the almost child like imagery (not in technique but in softness and feel) is just AMAZING and the bird is just an AWESOME addition...and lastly the coloring and lighting just FLOORS ME :O) AMAZING WORK and I can't wait to see more 2D from you...cuz doing lovely poser art is one thing but being able to do things like this to me puts you in a league of your own!! :O) HUGE VOTE!!! :O)

Reminds me of the work of the FEMALE Master, Artemisia Gentilescu in the 18th century. Your use of the single light source is a direct homage to her work....I really think the gold filigree of his robe and his hair are beautiful, and the Attention to Detail of the wrinkles in his hand are wonderful. Very Well Done!!!!
