Description

This is a narrow part of a wonderful mountain creek in the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee, USA. Very near the tourist zones of the park, this area is unknown to most and I like that. I suspect a few native brook trout "might" live somewhere up the creek, I hope so. The place is peaceful with easy trails along the sometimes very steep bluffs above the creek. While the Smoky Mountains offer spectacular views and photography opportunities, many of the best are at the end of strenuous trails. Some are there for the day hiker, moderate terrain and wonderful landscape of these old green mountains. The strenuous trails rising several hundred feet and along cliffs are presently out of my fitness level...for sure. Too bad. This shot was my frist try with a "monopod" camera support. The monopod takes getting used to but is easy to carry and could be a hiking stick in a pinch! : ) EXIF: 1/25sec, f/3.5, 27mm, ISO 200
