Description

This is likely the last of my dragonfly images for a while. Their time is ending and I also must move on. Still, I will take pictures when I can and be grateful for that. The little "sun devils" take away from the clear head view of this lovely insect but the rest is not too bad. I hope a different point of view than generally seen is here for your viewing. I thank a spirit greater than any of us for the opportunity. This dragonfly really seems to be dancing! I left to run an errand and the one on the truck antenna did not want to leave. It took another gentle hand right up to the dragonfly to convince it not to follow the truck and lite again. These creatures have become very easy to approach, moreso over the years...generation after generation. I am amazed at that. Approx 1/60 sec, 50mm macro lens, f/10, ISO 400.

Great shot Tom. I wish they were easy to approach here. They fly like dive bombers in and out of plants near the water. I have been trying for weeks to get one. he/she is very pretty.
