Description

"Life is pleasant. Death is peaceful. It's the transition that's troublesome." -- Isaac Asimov "Life is short, and time is swift; Roses fade, and shadows shift" -- Ebenezer Elliott

Wednesday is the transitional day, or "hump day" for most of us. So I thought this transitional image might be appropriate. Rather simple yes, but I like the sun sparkles on the water, the color shift as the water nears the sandy shore, and the small waves frozen in the moment. You've got to go with what you like, right? Though life is one big transition, I'd like to dedicate this photo to anyone who is going through a transitional time. You know who you are. And while you may miss what you are leaving behind, half the fun is finding out what comes next. Sorry for the heavy quotes, but I had trouble finding something that really matched this image. If you find me a better quote, I'd be in your debt! :-) Happy Hump Day! ----- Thanks for stopping by and for your heartening comments on yesterday's image, Beneath The Surface.

I totally agree with u my dear Kortalouche!! Wise words these are! And I find that shot so refreshing!!! It's so damn hot over here and to see that sparkling water makes me wanna plunge in it!!! I guess the effect perfectly matches the words actually, as a metaphore of course! ;)

He he, usually the most interesting places in nature are the transitional ones, like coastlines, mountains, etc.! Fantastic work, Kort, one to think about profoundly!

Love the colors gradualy changing from light greenish to almost black at the back - in addition the glassy surface with the brillian spots of light look great. Beautiful capture!
