Description
Croton Bay Coastline,Northeast Scotland
Hi everyone! Here's another shot from my little vacation to Scotland.
As I've said before,I am trying my best to bring you as many different and interesting shots of Scotland that I can find.I don't want to bore you!!!
This one was taken near a little beach in Croton Bay.I have no idea what this big thingy is OR how it got on top of the bluff I was standing on,but I thought it looked kind of cool,so I took this shot.
I am sure it could look better, but right now, ughhh,I am at the mercy of a lappy that shuts itself down for no apparent reason!!!Fortunately this much of my work at least was saved!
I so appreciated all your wonderful comments on my last upload,The Passage of Time.I'd really love to know what you think about this one! Please feel free to tell me of any suggestions that may improve it.I so value your opinions!
Have a great week everyone and as always, thanks for looking!
Marlene
P.S.I know it's a lousy title.I welcome your suggestions about that as well!

this composed impression and scene turns out fantastic! a silent witness! ;o))))

To add to the mystery, a mill stone I thought of too but then decided it was wrong. For the arm is made of stone and that would make it too heavy to move. The arm should be made of wood to be a mill stone. Your also right about needing water to cause the stone to be moved. So let the mystery continue, we may solve it yet.

The composition of this shot is wonderful. It's one of those shots that should be used as a "classic example" of photography as an art - if one has the eye to see and the artistry to compose it. As for the "thingy," it would seem I'm not the only one with a screw loose...

Have no idea what it is, but it looks heavy, interstin shot like the lites and shades, and it looks nice with those litttle flowers round it, nice image, Lina

Been looking at this a long time...can't figure out what it is though. Regardless, i sure do enjoy looking at it! too bad there weren't any locals around to ask. It's a gorgeous image of a forgotten piece left behind. such a beautiful resting spot though! fabulous find and capture, Marlene!!!!!

I think a mill wheel too and the stem does look like wood to me...but how it got up there who knows!?! I love the grass growing amongst the rocks on this little bluff and also the little peek at the sea! Excellent shot hon!! Keep Scotland coming..I love these!! :-)

Wow...that is one huge thumb tack! lol...just kidding. I like your photos the way they are when you take them. Don't get caught up in "fixing" them. They're good enough! Just like this one! :0)

That's a very good compo, well balanced and with great colors! No fix needed :)) As for the title, I really like yours but since you asked, off the top of my head 'giant's screw'? :D
KiwiMiss
Can't figure out what it is either. I guess the mystery will remain. Excellent compo and find Marlene :)
