Description

Hi everybody!Happy Saturday!LOL!Of course! It's another shot of Scotland! Actually its the very foothills of them, around the point where the Grampians meet the Cairgorm mountains. That's why they don't look particularly impressive in terms of height. But we are actually at a pretty decent altitude here. There was quite a drop there that you just can't see. The road was quite narrow,(almost single lane),and had more bends and dips than any road I've EVER driven on.This was one of the few places it was safe to pull over! I have to say this was one of the best days of my life!!!!I LOVED driving here!So much fun zipping along those roads,(at an unmentionable speed, lol!),listening to Enya singing 'Adiemus' and my other favorite Celtic songs.Between the music, that incredible scenery, gorgeous sunshine,an almost empty road, and a very,um,'responsive' little car, lol,I was in absolute heaven!!!And that was driving on the other side of the road as well! OK!LOL.I've chewed your ears off long enough.I'm sorry, but I just HAD to share that with you.I can't wait to go back and do that again!Definately one of the highlights of my life. Have a wonderful rest of your weekend everyone and thank you for looking.Your viewings and comments are always appreciated! See ya! Marlene P.S. doesn't the shadow of that cloud look like a dinosaur???

I think I know exactly what road you are on! Been there many times. Must have been mindblowing listening to Enya at the same time. Stunning colours and feeling of space.

I always feel impressed by the shadows cast by clouds scudding across moorlands, you have caught it quite well here Marlene, I think it's time I took another trip north to see my brother.

Lovely capture of the heather clad hills :) 'Tis the advantage of narrow roads it doesn't matter what side you drive on :D ....... I went to Malta, hired a car - asked what side of road do you drive? The man said the shady side :(

At first i was going to say, i have not had my Irish Mist to see the dinosaur shadow, but I guess your thinking of the one with the fin back? For now I see it too. Of course we could be seeing more than one, as mine is not in the front but in the back, second to last shadow.

Brilliant scene for the pan.Sure is many areas over there which remind me of where I live.Nicely taken Marlene. The contrast and shadowing quite made the clouds a stand out that is seen well.If I would say anything it is to add a few pixels to the bottom border to get the f and g inside.Picky eh LOL

Magnificent panorama and unbelievably gorgeous landscape! Now I have to fret about dinosaurs sneaking up behind me should I visit Scotland; other than myself of course :-) Superb art work!

Excellent view. It seems to be able to grip the cloud by climbing the top of the hill. What a refreshing view!! Thank you for sharing
