Well Ian, I am not sure about this abstract being enough of an abstract to be an abstract. I am trying very hard but I see it as too much of a realistic close up of a beach landscape. If you came in much cluser to where the items of metal and stone take on a different concept, then I could be sold as to their abstract quality. For now it is just documentation of the military site in this series. However, I would save it as a textured background to which one might apply a blur filter in a multi layered piece of photographic art, should you ever go exploring into that area of art.

Great photograph of natural and man made elements. I see the rocks as static, but the metal seems to add a sense of movement because of the horizontal line created by the wave form. So I see a contrast here that is so interesting, a contrast between movement and stasis. Great composition, well balanced by differences in objects. Really nice color contrast as well, even though the contrast is less severe due to the tones of the rocks. Super photo and very interesting.

It reminds me of the tailfin of a Ford Fairlane or 57 Chevy. Very good eye...I like the way your mind works!
