Description

Edited to say that this image was selected as a Feature image in the Daz Monthly Gallery. Well, I thought I had the Dystopia Troopers just laying around, and with the downloaded Industria scene, I thought, what the heck. I should work on some lighting issues. So while this was a good opportunity to explore something without a naked woman in it, it was really just an opportunity to see if I could get the light bulbs to light up. Kinda silly, huh? Well, the light bulbs lit up, but the scene was still a little off-balance, and I really wasn't paying attention to it (I was just worried about the lights, remember?), so when it was brought to my attention, I shone a flashlight on the first trooper to make it look as though someone had spotted him and he was running to attack. As much fun as this was, I really am starting to get into some Sci-Fi work, and I'm going to work with a few things on the Dystopian textures and see if I can't make some fun camo and perhaps old rusty textures to go with these guys. I have an arsenal of base textures that should work decently from some shoots I've done, so we'll have to see how this turns out. Thanks for looking!

I love the lighting on this. The attention to detail and the colors.

Thanks! I'm glad you liked it. I'm working on some more sci-fi stuff that should have some pretty fun lighting in it to say the least. I'll post it when I can.

Wow. Thanks for the comment on the lighting and color. I was going for classic Sci-Fi. I don't remember who illustrated it, but I tried for those old "Assasin of Gor" titles that were put out when I was younger. Parts of it got there, others, not so much.

Yea, the lighting is pretty cool here. I'm a lighting freak, I love everything about it. I also happen to be a sci-fi freak so this really hits home for me. Neato.
