Everywhere people with camera's find their way in this world to make their shots. I like the art of taking realistic pictures, because it provides a way to show how I experience this world. It is a way for other people to look through my eyes.Nature ... exists primarily for her face, her look, her appeals to the heart and the imaginationGeorge MacDonaldJan-Carel Vierbergen
Picture courtesy of Ruut WegmanBIOIt is all in the family: love for hiking in the nature. Since my childhood I'm used to walk with father, brothers, cousins, etc., and take pictures (Minolta X-700 with 28-70 mm and 100-300 mm zoom) of what I see. I grew up in Ede (The Netherlands), studied Electrical Engineering in Eindhoven and I am working now as Coordinator e-learning at the Christelijke Hogeschool Ede (http://www.che.nl) where I implement digital assessments for students and assist students in DTP and creating websites.
Since I know little about photographing as well as computer science it was not difficult to find ways for putting images on the web. The only thing to look for now is to find ways for showing the slides in a convenient way. I tried already something at http://www.che.nl/users/jcv (Dutch only, click at Dia's van de natuur in Nederland en de Alpen), but this platform provides good means to share my pictures with others.
I hope you enjoy this!

Enjoyed the trip. Lovely composition. I can't believe how close to the sea this village is. The schooner in the background gives this an eerie timeless moment.

What a magnificant place, beautiful shot !!! The big ship in back certainly adds to the image and i personally love that fortress-type building in the foreground !! What are those two people doing there anyways, maybe two teenagers making out in a quiet corner ? lol Superb work !! :o)

Richard and I are both looking at this, and he says you have achieved a really good depth of field out of it, which is quite extraordinary given the lenses and magnification you were using. It's an excellent photo, and quite amazing to me that you managed to get everything so well in focus, both far and distant!

A great way to end the series with a look back toward the town! I didn't know that you could see across the channel from there - it makes a perfect background with the sailing ship on the water :)
