Description

"The Wizards Firstborn" The Wizard has travelled far from the Land of Truespace and arrived in the Continent of Bryce, dragging his Firstborn beside him. He has entered Bryce due to the generosity of the mysteriously named Chickenlips. Is she a Witch or a Fairy Godmother? The Wizard does not know. Chickenlips has bargained a price for entry into the Land of Bryce - she wants the Wizards Firstborn - and here he is! This story is true! I (the Wizard) received my copy of Bryce 5.5 thanks to the generosity of Chickenlips (from 3d Commune) who kindly donated her spare copy to me in exchange for my firstborn (image). This is my first posted Bryce image (I've had Bryce for just over a week). I thrive on feedback and welcome all comments and/or critiques. So... what do you think?

For a first Bryce image this is remarkable. You have put a lot of intricacy into it; far more than most newbies would. And you built it all around a story (or the story around the image - whichever)! It is also apparent that this is NOT your first foray into the realm of 3D art. There is a level of previous experience that shows through in this. The characters are particularly interesting. Are they Poser or some other modeling? In any case . . . Nice Work!

Well, I think that was very sweet of chickenlips to make the trade. First born huh? I think your experience elsewhere is showing. ;) The scene looks great - nice sense of perspective. And I love that wand! I think you and Bryce are going to get along just fine!

Thanks for the nice comments about my wizard picture. It's true that I am not new to 3d - I started about 4 years ago playing with Anim8or and AMAPI 4.15 and then graduated to trueSpace 5.1 which is a highly under rated application IMHO. The characters: The wizard was modelled with trueSpace (as where the mushroons and grasses) the little boy has been very heavily modified but is part of the content that comes as standard with tS.
