Description

The morning mist slowly lifts from the fiord... I don't often post in the Terragen Gallery as there is so much quality art here! This is one of the first images I've made using the 3d preview to compose my image - it's amazing what how much it helps to select a good pov. I couldn't resist adding my trusty old Viking Longship using trueSpace 5.1. I hope you like it and please comment, even if you don't! Thanx Stephen W!ZARD

Very good. But I think if it was sunrise the scene would have a little more contrast and be somewhat darker, less washed out, with the sun's rays slanting over the peaks and bathing the boat in early morning light. But still, a very good idea....

Wow, impressive and majestic scene! And the ship is fantastic, hope to see a closeup sometime. I never realized you could import into Terragen. Learning every day! Excellent work!

such a beautiful image! it's a shame you dont post TG more often...I'm not a TG purist, so I absolutely love the added postwork, which you integrated perfectly...superb water texture and reflections...

Thanks to all for the lovely comments. FitArtistSF - thanks for the critique. The background is exactly as it came out of terragen and the haze levels are high to suggest fog gradually clearing - the boat is is very weak sunlight due to the fog - at least thats the idea! judee3d - sadly we cannot (yet) import objects into Terragen - the ship was added using trueSpace 5.1. Thanks again to all for commenting
