Oh Susan that's just beautiful! What an image. I got some butterfly shots, but sad to say one was passed on and the other nearly there.. it's that time of year I suppose. Good to see yours is lively and wonderful.

awesome capture susan!!!! You did a FANTASTIC job!!! Kemal and I also was shooting one just like this the other day! it was hovering in the middle of the creek bed. (yep...we were actually shooting in the middle of a fairly deep creek which had dried up. :( Anyway, this is soooooo beautiful!!! fantastic shooting girl! i love how you framed it too! Not sure I understand your comment above about the Monarch and SwallowTail. This is definitly a swallowtail.. And I think much prettier than Monarchs. I had lots of them when growing up in Utah.
