Description
One of the chores associated with setting up houskeeping in a new system is to make sure you have an appropriate background for the monitor. After all, it is the basis for DNAs to see in and for Digitals to see out. I let this render away on the old system while we were getting my new one set up (Parthius was a really big help and didn't complain once about the hole it made in his plastic!)
This was rendered using LightWave 8.3 with the Worley G2 plugin. G2 is supposed to do a better job on raytraced shadows, but for some reason the shadows from the hair are grainier than they were before I used G2. This was rendered at 2000x2000 with 5 pass antialiasing and then resized. All the mesh was subpatched to level 3 (the equivalent of around 1.5 Milliom polygons). The hair takes about three times longer to render than the face, but then hair is really important!
The eyes are double layered to get some reflective/refractive effects, but they are still very much a work in progress (I know they need better textures too!)
Thanks for viewing and I love your comments!
BIG HUGZ, Kylee

Same as the new RayT "blur" in P6. It just pixellates at the edge. black, black, color. black, color color...Better than the last P5 option (none), though. OK, let's see all this new "outflow" crunch some numbers...;p
