Description

Sometimes I take a picture and when I look at it on my screen I'd think.. 'this looks good', without knowing what exactly looks good. In fact that is the case with this picture. Clouds, trees, some flowers and very, very flat land in it, nothing more, nothing special.., but for some reason I think it is nice...maybe I am the only one in the world to think so.. What you have to know about this picture and maybe that is what makes it special to me.. it that it is is taken on an island which has almost none inhabitants anymore. Just one farmer is living there and some tourist stay over the summer, that's all. And.. despite the fact that, in the past, I lived nothing more than 30 kilometers away from this island, I had never been there. I was glad to see it with my own eyes just for once. BTW.. this island is called Tiengemeten. Canon EOS 350D

Yes they are... wind turbines in the distance. They are located alongside the river in which Tiengemeten also is located.

Ahhh, good old Tiengemeten! That's long ago I've been close around here, and there's a lot of change to be expected here! Beautiful capture, it is just one to calm down!
