Description
Macro of a Bee, made by Giancarlo in summer 1981 in Emilia - Italy
with his Canon F1 and a macro lens (100 mm 3.6 macro)
I'm always impressed by the macro of Giancarlo, thinking he has made them 24 years ago, using of course "real" manual camera.
It's more easy for us today, with digital cam to have a good definition, but I've never could do a so beautiful one with my digital camera anyway !
That's the difference between him and me. He was a great photographer, and he has always have an incredible eye for seeing things and details, and to capture them perfectly.
I love this one !

Incredible shot - wonderful detail. As you said the skill to capture images like this was an art without the help of modern cameras.

Not everything that is new can be considered better. Though digital cameras have given us a greater freedom, there is something still to be said about a manual camera and film. At least if the battery goes dead, a manual still functions. Here we have an excellent example of how great and wonderful the quality was so long ago..
