Description

Ultrafractal 3.02 Here's a re-work of my old "Pearl of Wisdom" image I thought I'd share with y'all and see what you think. I was in a "brown phase" when I made it and tried to give it a sorta hard, leather and stone midieval vibe therefore the "adamant" in the title. Sorry I've been so scarce lately and also so slow with IM's. I'm heading up to Atlanta for the DragonCon Art Show tomorrow and I've been hustling my buns off trying to get everything ready for it. BIG show (attendance 20,000-25,000!) and the first one I've EVER been in and on top of being scared to death, I really have no idea what the heck I'm gonna do up there - lol. Reckon I'll just stand around with a dumb grin a lot and try not to be daunted by all the professionals that will be there. They stuck me in the "pro" area even though I'm about as amateur as it gets when it comes to art shows. Ah well - still exciting stuff(!!!!!) and if nothing else, I'll be able to say I did it once and get a t-shirt - lol I'll be back next Tuesday and let y'all know how it went. I'm hoping they'll let me donate the proceeds from one of my images to Hurricane Katrina relief but since it's an auction, they might think that's cheating or something. Or maybe they can ask all the artists to donate a piece and have a separate auction. Can't hurt to ask, I reckon...SO sad the situation in Ala, Miss, and New Orleans. I get choked up thinking about those poor folks. Thanks VERY much for stopping by - if not for you guys' support, I'd never have been invited to the show. Y'all are the BEST! Rick :-?)

You're too modest. From the litttle I've seen of your work so far, you'll wow them. this one is in the "tradition." As for that hurricane, our TV has shown something of the horror. Nature seems to be making this world into a vulnerable place. Regards, Cliff.

Your artwork IS going to blow those folks away, Rick! Jest be yerself, and you'll knock 'em dead. This is a powerful and beautiful and outstanding piece of work. Love the textures and the sense of dimension. Perfect light and shadow play and palette, IMO. Excellent+++ Yes, what's happened in Ala, Miss and New Orleans is tragic. I have to say, I'm not surprised by your generous gesture.
