Everywhere people with camera's find their way in this world to make their shots. I like the art of taking realistic pictures, because it provides a way to show how I experience this world. It is a way for other people to look through my eyes.Nature ... exists primarily for her face, her look, her appeals to the heart and the imaginationGeorge MacDonaldJan-Carel Vierbergen
Picture courtesy of Ruut WegmanBIOIt is all in the family: love for hiking in the nature. Since my childhood I'm used to walk with father, brothers, cousins, etc., and take pictures (Minolta X-700 with 28-70 mm and 100-300 mm zoom) of what I see. I grew up in Ede (The Netherlands), studied Electrical Engineering in Eindhoven and I am working now as Coordinator e-learning at the Christelijke Hogeschool Ede (http://www.che.nl) where I implement digital assessments for students and assist students in DTP and creating websites.
Since I know little about photographing as well as computer science it was not difficult to find ways for putting images on the web. The only thing to look for now is to find ways for showing the slides in a convenient way. I tried already something at http://www.che.nl/users/jcv (Dutch only, click at Dia's van de natuur in Nederland en de Alpen), but this platform provides good means to share my pictures with others.
I hope you enjoy this!

A trick for next time you meet one of those acrobats and want to shoot him closer: just give him some bread or anything to eat. Choughs are incredible birds, they just don't fear us AT ALL... More than this: if you don't take care about your back bag when you just sit at the top of the mountain to admire the view, you can have one of them trying to open your bag!... And they are real acrobats, the way they fly is unbelievable. On top of that, they are some of the rare birds, which are not birds of prey, able to fly using thermals (like eagles)... So they are paragliding guys's friends, of course... A kiss to your Chough from me!

I can see why you wanted to capture this bird. It stands out like King of the Mountains. Excellent Job. Aloha

Yes, he looks like he owns the place! Lovely shot of the solitary feel up in the mountains.

He has quite a view even without taking to wing. I often wonder how they decide how much flying is enough and how much is too much.
