Description

"No one regards what is before his feet; we all gaze at the stars." --Quintus Ennius

Here is the third photo in this little series, moving away from the dark to a more high key image. I was not sure about how much to push the saturation here. Straight black & white was okay, but when I introduced a rich sepia tone and saturated it even more, the photo really seemed to come to life. I usually prefer to be more subtle, but it seemed to work in this case, and the feedback I received in the forum seemed to corroborate this notion. But in the end it is all subjective. If you were not able to see the other 2 images, then you have your nudity filter on. You need to uncheck it to view them. =] ----- Thanks for stopping by and for your grinning comments on Tuesday's photo, Upward Glance.

really good work! like the way you pushed the sepia here... really seems to have some life in here... and i really like the overexposure... not that sure about her outfit... something disturbs me here... her expression is good... :) well done - good job!

Hmmm... I just wonder why they wouldn't introduce a new kind of filter. I think the "stupidity checkbox" would be very useful... I would check mine every time... But this has nothing to see with this image which is brilliant and superbly done. And the sepia is a good choice!

Really looks like an 1910's picture. Why do we bought such modern cameras ? What's on the background ? Could we see it more (or less) ?

This has a great retro look, the feathers and the faint colour in the eyes and lips make it look like anold hand coloured print. Bravo!!

A little to bright on the white. She does have a "Far-a-Way Gaze" because she is looking up. Love the way you dressed her up and tones to make it look like it was the early years 1920's. Aloha

As one who has spent the better part of his life gazing at the ground, for cool rocks and occasionally money ;) I must disagree with the quote! Now as for the image! Quite nice! I agree with similar comments that it has a wonderful retro feel! 20's 30's. Your model makes that an easy jump, but you drive it home nicely with the palette you chose to colorize with! Excellent work my friend! now I must go stare at the ground some more! ;)

What a lovely vintage look this has.It reminds me of a film still from the days of silent movies. Her upward cast eyes are the kicker here. They did that often back then.LOL!It was considered erotic!Wonderful mimicry of a bygone photography,Kort.Bravo,-M :)

I think this is one of my favorites in your gallery ! I adore silent films, so of course this would catch my eye. Your camera and imagination have captured this scene in the most perfect pose. Excellent work !!~*****~!!
